greetings

for my first post i'd like to show off a small selection of recent thrift and yard sale treasury cuteness.

here we have a bradley doll from the 1970's. i had been looking at them on ebay just before stumbling upon this little beauty at the hudson salvation army. she has an adorable little maltese and her chair spins and plays music. it's almost erie. the juice container seemed like it could come in handy at some point in the future when i might want to make some juice!

my mother had one of these printer drawers full of cute little figurines for a long while, then sold it at a yardsale. years later i decided i'd like one too. this was not thrifted or yard sale-ed... it was 30 dollars on ebay. i think it was well worth it. the cuckoo clock was a dollar at a yard sale and i can't remember where i aquired the lee cork print or for how much, but i did drunkenly step on it a few years back and split it across the back of her knees, poor little lady. i suppose it adds character though!

you can only faintly see the crack in her limbs in this photo... but here's a view from my bed anyhow.

here is another item i had been drooling over on ebay and then shortly after, found at the hudson salvation army. fawn and his mommy.

cookie jar from a yard sale. the owner recognized me from home depot. oh boy.

the world of cats! this book is full of ultimate cat worldliness cute.

ive had this 3d owl piece from savers for a long time now but it deserved a spot in this post.

just what i need... another addition to my now 14, 15, 16 or so huge sunglasses collection. this pair was probably about 25 cents. i purchased it at a yard sale alone with a white strawberry shaped dish, a small flying bird magnet, and a valentine pin all for 1 dollar.

my mothers photo was not thrifted, but it's one of my favorite photos of her, so i feel it's relevant.

a favorite photo of my late nana, geraldine.

and here i am in pink overalls. my name is melissa catherine moore and i've just recently turned 22, on july 18th. i currently live in an adorable and cozy little nest of a room across the hall from my mothers in her home in marlborough, mass. both sadly and hapily i will soon be packing up and migrating myself and my cat, nico to portland, maine.

here's nico.

and the most recent picture taken of me, last thursday at hearthrob @ the middlesex lounge. credit due to david day. the rest of the photos from that night can be found at nicky digital.
