invisible monsters

just a quick update. i just got home about an hour ago from my first night of volunteer work(playing and having fun with homeless children) and it was such a blast. i was so nervous at first and was also having a very stressful day but the 2 hours i spent playing with the children(there were only 2 tonight) definitely brought my day to a nice end. we had a blast painting and reading a pop up book and playing with plastic food and hiding from invisible monsters. i ended up with paint all over my hands and my cheeks being mega sore from laughing the whole time. the kids were hilarious and had so much energy and imagination, i'm so exhausted! i'm looking forward to next weeks visit.

i made another polyvore. i had to remove some things because i went out and bought them with my tax refund :) i'll post pics of some of these treasures including an electra beach cruiser i scored for $60 on craigslist.

i decided i need to go back to being vegan.(i stopped for a little while resulting from a sort of mariah carey breakdown) some of my favorite vegan goodies..

i like to shlopp 50 pounds of this stuff onto single pieces of wheat bread.

this i like to fry the ever living shit out of and put into stir fry or buffalo sauce

this, is just amazing. i had a mini one for lunch yesterday and realized i actually should have gotten 20 of them instead of 1.

i can eat a whole box of these at once.

some other favorites are very vanilla silk, vegan sloppy joes, falafels, hummus, tofutti cheesecake ice cream, tofutti cream cheese and sour cream, amys chili, raisins, SO MUCH MORE.

and while looking for my favorite "MARRY ME" ice cream bars by tofutti on the google i stumbled across this really really extremely adorable short film...

don't call me past eleven pm

i saw yes man last week and absolutely loved it. i'm thinking about going to see it again. it's so cute and fun. i'd love to be a yes man but it's so hard.

i'm taking a long break from drinking btw.

i am not a plaid shirt...

i had a great weekend. yesterday i drove down to the cape where i had training for horizons for homeless children. once my references and cori checks out i'll be volunteering in worcester at one of the homeless shelters playing with small children. i'm really excited for this. i'll get to read to the children, play with toys, sing, make crafts. this will be one day a week and i'm thinking it will be a blast and very rewarding as well. i'm also thinking home depot will give me shit about being less available. home depot disgusts me. then after training i picked up food and icecream cake for my brother because it was his 16th birthday. we had a pleasant evening in while my mom was on a hot date. today i went to my grandmothers house and she made me baked mac and cheese from scratch and we watched lots of tv and had great quality time. then i went shopping and when i got home my papa was at my house. we had a lovely dinner and now i'm watching tv with my mom. i love family. and buying stuff. here's what i bought..

i also got earrings at forever 21 that i can't find on the site right now but they are large dangly filigree-like, a new pair of black high heels from dsw, and face cream from walgreens.

these purchases were made possible by not going out to the bars and spendin' all my money on booze, holla!!

i will be making a trillion more of these. i almost added opera binoculars till i remembered i have two pairs at home. i just need to find them so i can start spying on neighbors and well, EVERYONE.

last lights/first night

christmas was good. my uncle and papa came over and i stuffed my face like a chipmunk. i got an electric blanket that i am in love with and money that will be going toward new tires.

the 26th i attended a last lights benefit show for dom at london billiards in worcester. i baked peanut butter and heath chunk cookies that sold for a dollar a piece(proceeds going to doms family) which came out amazing and, i believe sold out.. but i drank too much and don't really remember. my friend neil had to drive me to tortilla sams after for some mexican food and sobering up. the show was so intense just look at some of these photos my friend mary took...

the show ended in lots of red faces, tears, and real real tight hugs. so many people showed up and it was so great to see all the love and support.

new years eve was a blast even though i didn't get to go out to boston like i had originally planned. i got chinese food with my mom and brother and stayed in till i thought my bald tires could actually handle getting me anywhere(yay for getting new tires in 2 days). went to a party in worcester around 11 and partied till 5 or 6am. there was a dance party going on in a real tiny bedroom and i don't even know how SO MANY PEOPLE fit! i also don't even know how i didn't have a severe hangover at work(9am) the next day.

in other less drunk related news, i just e-bought myself this movie that i am SO excited about...
