before i pass out

i meant to update sooner but i've been slaving away over the telephone at the nursing home i work at and in my ugly orange apron at the depot that tells customers they can do it and i can help. today i managed to change my shirt on the drive from one job to the other. i attempted my pants but that seemed a little too risky. i imagined how embarrassing it'd be to crash into someone or something mid-pants changing and then have to explain why i'm not wearing any pants. anyway at the end of the day as i'm slouching under my warm laptop in my comfy bed and cozy little bedroom, thinking about updating... i usually just pass out. so here's a little sumthin' sumthin' before the sand man creeps up on me...

i had purchased a magnetic board from target that came with two boring/ugly little magnets that i was not satisfied with. so i glued some round craft magnets to some random plastic pieces i thrifted, a cat, a deer, and an ice cream. i also realized the craft magnets are the same size as the backs of those hip little band pins i used to show off on my pants and bags in high school. a good chunk of those pins had been collecting dust in a bowl so i took out all the pin inserts and stuck in the magnets. they fit perfectly without glue or anything else. and for bigger pins they stay without glue as well.
here you can see how perfectly they fit

and here are a few on the board along with the plastic pieces.

i had a few friends over for a super bowl party style get together for the vmas. so an mtv cake seemed very appropriate. funfetti of course!

my mom obsesses over all the puppies on craigslist every day. so when she asked me if she should get one i said yes, she might as well.. she obviously wants one so incredibly badly. so now we have the cats cupcake and nico, our pit bull/pointer wanda, and now tami..she's a 6 month old rat terrier and a professional heart melter! i will most likely take better pictures at a later date but for now she's way too rambunctious. she has a personality very similar to our mini dashund bob that had passed away

i just got my first issue of GOOD magazine in the mail last week after agreeing to recieve a free trial one issue and i must say it's definitely my new favorite magazine i will be subscribing for sure. most publications that deal with real, world issues and important stuff make it too boring for me to want to sit and read. also GOOD magazine gives 100% of your subscription fee to whichever nonprofit partner of theirs that you chose! and that's pretty rad. check it out

i do have more to post but i'll save it for another night. right now it's time to pass out.
