human highway

i've started listening to human highway which is nick thorburn(the unicorns/th' corn gangg/islands/reefer) and jim guthrie(islands). the first time i heard human highway i was like WOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE UNICORNS.. haha love it. i was a little torn up back when the unicorns broke up right after i had seen them live in connecticut back in ohhh 2004? and might i add my sexy date and i also got to dance on stage with them and get wild and it was just insane/electric/amazing. they put on an AWESOME and ADORABLE show. islands sort of made up for it but not quite, and now i think human highway mostly makes up for it!! i put "the sound" on my playlist. and i guess i might as well share my playlist..

so i had been having huge amounts of bad luck lately, such as the towing, having to pay hundreds of dollars for stupid things like cancelation fees and speeding tickets and the tow and whatever else i had to pay stupid money for, the whole status complication at work messing with my insurance and auto insurance as well. finding my passenger side mirror smashed and dangling about the other day was also a nice touch :( but things are finally working themselves out and looking up a bit, which i'm very thankful for. speaking of thanks, i had quite a pleasant thanksgiving yesterday. i spent some time with a few of my uncles and cousins at my grandmothers in ashland which i'm guilty of not spending more time going over, but that will change! then spent a few hours at my papas eating ham with my brother, papa, uncle, and mom. today i started selling the christmas trees outside at the depot. i love pine scent. also i love most things wood/woodgrain!

i almost thought this was another one of those usb mix tapes(which i think are so cool) but it's not, its actually a... tape dispenser! also very cool. hah enough of that site though, there's so many good things!

wooden magnetic board from fred flare. i already have a green magnetic board from target but i'm very into the idea of switching that one out for this.

this travel mug from...well everywhere, including the curiosity shoppe and fred flare and numerous other places, has been out for a while now but i still don't have it. this might be going on my christmas wishlist i'll be sending to my mom i mean santa!

influence, mary-kate and ashley would make an awesome coffee-table book. i don't have a coffee-table, but it would fit in nicely on my shelf with the many other books i have well suited for coffee-tables!

tiny house design and tiny house blog have more real cute tiny living places, most of them are tumbleweed but there are a few other gems thrown in to the mix too. i'd love to own a small space like this to escape to.. but theyre way out of my league in the price department :(

i bought these valentines on ebay for 5 dollars including shipping. i was feeling sad about the 200 dollar towing fee and the t-mobile cancelation fee i had to finally pay which was also 200, so these definitely cheered me up once they arrived. i can't wait to play with them. another sweet thing is that t-mobile will be leaving me alone for good.

i spent this weekend in new york city visiting my pal neil. i had a pretty swell time going to the clubs and hip little shoppes. met up with another friend jt at royal oak at one point. i like that place a lot. and hadn't seen that boy in 2 years or so. he's a babe. i got back last night to find my car had been towed away and costed me 200 dollars to get back, my laptop doesn't work for some oddball reason i'm not aware of, and today some kids broke into our house and stole a bunch of my brothers big ticket items, including his xbox360, wii, all his games for the two, and his ipod. also a huge bag of trash ripped open and covered me.

i currently have no health insurance because of a mistake someone else made at work. and i'm thinking it's going to take a few weeks to sort out and that freaks me out. anything could happen between now and then.

my new favorite television show is true blood even though i normally do not like any movie or show having to do with vampires. me and my mom watch it every week together. and paris hilton is my new bff is my new guilty pleasure.

i need to get with the program and quit being a lazy bum around here. lots has changed. i decided to start hair school in december. i know i'm so flip floppy. but i may stick with this..

it was a pleasure to vote this past tuesday. it was my first time and it felt real real good, everything i was rooting for won/passed.

my mothers friend who was living in our basement moved out and we will be turning one of the rooms into a craft room!

when i work the weekends at the nursing home there's a resident there i drink coffee and chit chat with, she's very young and survived a brain tumor which has left her disabled. she wrote me a letter the other day just because, just to tell me i mean a lot to her and whatnot. it was the sweetest and on pretty paper and she covered the envelope in tons of stickers. i got a little teary-eyed reading it.

i'm glad we are getting ready for christmas trees at the depot and oldies is playing holiday music now.
